We invite you to register at https://int.birthrightisrael.com/(http://int.birthrightisrael.com/) The next step is to send documents indicating the Jewish origin of the family and meet with the Taglit coordinator in Poland.

It can be any document indicating the Jewish origin of the grandfather or grandmother (one of the four), i.e.: - birth or death certificates indicating Jewish origin, - certificates from the Jewish cemetery stating the burial, - certificates confirming membership in a Jewish organization: Jewish community, TSKŻ, - documents confirming compensation after the war (usually from the Claims Conference), - documents certifying membership in the Association of Children of the Holocaust, - certificate from the Genealogical Department of the Jewish Historical Institute, etc. If you have trouble finding documents, we recommend contacting the genealogy department at the Jewish Historical Institute: familyheritage@jhi.pl

- passport, - Israeli currency or cash to exchange (it is possible to exchange immediately after landing), - medicines, if you take medicines permanently or you need something, be sure to have it with you. We also recommend taking cold medicines. In Israel, air conditioning works all year round, - cap or hat, - swimsuit, - cream with UV filter, - closed shoes, such as sneakers or trainers, - a warm sweatshirt or sweater, the bus will definitely have air conditioning, in Jerusalem the temperature sometimes drops to 10 degrees, we are going in the summer, but expect at least 3 seasons, - attire for Shabbat: covered elbows, knees, no revealing cleavage, - boys: kippah or other head covering for synagogues (yes, a hat is fine).

Only people who meet the criteria can go on the trip. If your partner does not fit into these categories, unfortunately we cannot send you together on this adventure.

Of course! Taglit is for everyone with Jewish background regardless of their level of religiosity!

About 40,000 donors chip in for this trip, with a large portion of the funds being presented to the program by its graduates. Some of the money comes from the Jewish Agency, some from the government of Israel, and some from private donors from around the world.

It depends. If you are an Israeli citizen, you are only eligible if you have never lived in Israel or left before the age of 12 (official documentation will be required). If you are accepted into the program, you will need to obtain discharge papers from your local Israeli consulate.

While DNA testing kits are a fun way to learn about your ancestors, we do not accept them as proof of eligibility for a Taglit Birthright trip to Israel.
